Rock Garden Plants
If you’ve got a rocky garden, or your garden is, literally, a rock without much depth to the earth, such as Oliver and Ann Roberts’ garden at Rhos-on-Sea, don’t worry! You can still have plants if you choose appropriate ones.

Tip! Don’t think you have to buy all your plants at once. To ensure that you have plants growing on the rocks thought the year, the best thing to do is to buy the plants at regular intervals throughout the summer because new plants come in as they come into season.

Some appropriate plants:
- Sempervivum ‘Commander Hay’
- Sempervivum ‘Blood Tip’
- Sempervivum ‘Mrs Giuseppi’
- Jovibarba allionii
- Sedum spathulifolium ‘Purpureum’
- Saxifraga ‘Fairy’
- Viola ‘Roscastle Black’
- Cerastium tomentosum
- Sedum ‘Spectabile Brilliant’ (Briweg)
- Lithodora ‘Heavenly Blue’

- Sedum ‘reflexum’ (Briweg)
